each medium has its strengths and weaknesses. each has its own way of conveying the emotions and thoughts of the human experience. literature, sculpture, the visual arts, all have their place in finding the souls of a searching humanity.
but music. oh how it can cut. so universal, and searingly achingly beautiful. hear the violin, piercingly eloquently slicing through your heart. climbing and rising to lament and wail for lost innocence and a broken world. how can your soul not rise to hear the crying elegy?
and the cello. hear it reverberate softly, calling calling to kindred spirits. hear it caress with a haunting melody. and hear deep calling to deep with a gut-wrenching resonance flowing from the depths of the earth.
does it not cut deep?
